Road less traveled, a letter to my clients
Jan 25, 2018
15 years ago I left my job as a structural drafter to pursue the life of an entrepreneur. On the one hand, I would no longer know where my next paycheck would come from, but on the other hand, I would be working 70 to 80 hours a week. Yay!
It's been a lot of work, but so worth it. I get to do what I love every day. And with each new project comes new challenges, new things to paint. I have painted the Eiffel Tower, the Solar System, castles, fairies, monkeys, birds, fish. I have made a little girl's room a garden of flowers and butterflies, and, five years later, painted over it when she was "too old for that" to give the now ten year old a view of the northern lights and a howling wolf. I have painted a portrait of pigeon racers from faded blurry photographs from another century. I have live painted at the weddings of some very special people.
Everyone should love their job as much as I love mine.
I have met some of the best people since I started my decorative painting company. And now that I'm finding more time to create fine art, you, my clients, have not let me down. You've attended my openings, you've commissioned portraits and other work, you've come to my open studio events.
Thank you!
I hope you'll keep reading my updates and stay in touch. I have a special offer coming up in December for all my subscribers. So if you're not already on my list, join now!
Cheers!
